Yes, I do.
I don’t believe in coincidence. I believe there are threads connecting one moment to another, one person to the next, one choice to consequences we may not recognize until years later.
Our lives are a tapestry of moments. We rarely see the whole pattern while we’re living it.
The difficulty is that we’re standing too close to the tapestry. We see a single knot while life is weaving an entire pattern. Often, we don’t see the connection because we aren’t looking for it. Sometimes we are looking, but we don’t even know where to begin.
I’ve met people who changed the course of my life with a single conversation. I’ve made decisions that seemed insignificant at the time, only to discover later they led me exactly where I needed to be. Looking back, the threads become visible.
That doesn’t mean every event is good or that every hardship is somehow deserved. Life can be cruel without asking our permission. But even pain has a way of connecting us to lessons, people, and versions of ourselves we might never have found otherwise.
Perhaps the reason isn’t always in the event itself. Perhaps the reason is in what we choose to do with it once the threads finally come into view.
