Upcoming Changes to the Mangus Khan Universe:
Java & Verse
About a decade ago, while doing writer’s workshops, I introduced a segment entitled Java & Verse. Java & Verse was designed to be a place where I discussed my opinion about different types of writing. Mainly, I reviewed and offered commentary on the different styles and techniques of writing. I hosted this segment on an entirely different website. However, I’ve gotten older and can’t manage any more than a blog and a magazine. Though I’m saying this out loud, I can hear the grumblings of certain team members while others are cheering. Hopefully, I’ll provide engaging content; all are welcome to voice their opinions.
The Howlin’ Inkwell – Online Publication
On April 1 of this year, I launched, with the assistance of an outstanding team of writers and editors, an online publication entitled “The Howlin’ Inkwell.” on the Medium platform. This is what we are about:
The Howlin’ Inkwell is a place to express our creative energies. So, whether you write poetry, short stories, prose, photography, essays, fiction, or non-fiction, all our welcome, and your skill level doesn’t matter. The Howlin’ Inkwell is also for those who always wanted to write but needed more courage. We are open to all genres, whether dark, love, satire, or other. There are many publications like this on Medium. However, our goal is to make this publication something unique. Here, we write from the heart, telling the tales that move our souls.
So I think that’s it for now. I wanted to inform you that things will be different.
Wait … Wait … My senior editor has been complaining about not having any stories to read on the site. So I have to write and post some if I hope to get any form of peace.
