Oh man on’t even get me started on this movie. Bonzo plays drums with his friggin’ hands. Jimmy Page’s strongest workout ever on In My Time of Dying. And this one too!

Smiles, I remember as a kid there was a lot talk about Tommy and of course Pink Floyd’s The Wall. I happened to discover the Song Remains the Same double album not knowing anything about it. I finally watched the film and it instantly became one of my favorites. I still listen to the album at least once a year, but I haven’t watched the movie in years. I’ll have to see if I find it. It is probably on one of my hard drives or something.

I’ve been a long time fan of Jimmy Page, but in this film he seemed to pull out all the stops

I’m going to dig out that movie and watch the whole thing.

That seems to be the idea of at least a few of us.

I love concert movies. My copy of the Stop Making Sense remaster from A24 shipped today. I’ve never seen it-can’t wait!

Also, since you mentioned Tommy, The Who at the Isle of Wight is amazing. Especially Keith Moon, but also John Entwhistle and Pete Townshend. I’m not a huge The Who fan but they really showed me something, and they do a lot of Tommy in that show. My favorite part about it is I can tell the camera wanted to watch the drums and bass more than the singer and the guitar, which is never the case anymore. But Keith Moon was such a character I’m not surprised.
