Poetry – Introspection
In introspection
Sipping coffee
Scribing line from my inkwell
The greatest mystery in life
Is life itself?
We know not what shadows lurk.
We know not the treasures they hold
Nor the horrors it shields
We should lie back on the beach of our bodies
Basking in the sunlight of our soul
Cherishing the very idea of the moments
In the next breath.
We’re cast into the sea of uncertainty
Shivering in its darkness
Frightened in its silence
One much different than the other,
But equally important
Be mindful of all that you see
Even if it is you
